Q: What do I need to run FoldScript?
FoldScript is operated as a Web service. It is accessible via any modern Web browser equipped with a PDF reader:

Q: In my FoldScript representation, which secondary structure element the symbol "η" refers to?
The η symbol refers to a 310-helix.
α-helices, 310-helices and π-helices are displayed as medium, small and large squiggles with α, η and π labels, respectively.
β-strands are rendered as arrows labeled β.
Strict β-turns and α-turns are displayed as TT and TTT letters, respectively.

Q: I modeled a protein containing a ligand and the latter does not seem to be taken into account (I do not see any contacts with it on the representation). Why?
To date, not all ligands or post-translational modifications proposed by AlphaFold 3 are supported. Ligands not present in the table below will not be considered in the analysis performed by FoldScript.

Q: How can I manually add any feature in a figure generated by FoldScript?
PDF files generated by FoldScript can be edited using programs such as Adobe Illustrator or Inkscape.
You can also generate JPG or TIFF files and use the image editing software of your choice.

Q: Can I download and install FoldScript on my computer or my server?
Due to software license constraints, FoldScript can only be run online through the present website.
